I look forward to reading Minor Detail. ....Once again I urge you to read some Israeli literature. In keeping with this program's theme try Ayelet Gundar Goshen, Dorit Rabinyan and Ronit Matalon and keep and eye out for translators, Jessica Cohen and Sondra Silverston.
Hi Nina, thanks for not giving up on us :-). While I have read Israeli literature in the past, and truly felt enriched for it, it has been a bit, and I have not read the authors you mention here. I will fix that soon!
This sounds like a great program. I would like to a suggestion for inclusion of another Women in Translation book that I didn't see on your list. It is "Tomb of Sand" written in Hindi by Geetanjali Shree and translated by Daisy Rockwell. It won the 2022 International Booker Prize and is about an older woman in decline who had to resuscitate her life into something new and more meaningful. It is so great that you discuss these women and their novels and the translations on the Mookse as they usually don't receive enough of the recognition that they truly deserve.
